Notice of Race
Rules: The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021-2024 and prescriptions of US Sailing, this notice, and the Sailing Instructions.
Eligibility and Entry: The regatta is open to all sailboats. Entrants must pre-register with Western Carolina Sailing Club (WCSC), the organizing authority, to be eligible to compete.
There will be two courses using government marks.
A) A Dinghy Course (Single Start) for sailboats 14' and under, such as Sunfish or Force 5's.
There will be one fleet, Dame at the helm.
B) A Long-Distance Course (Pursuit Start) for all other sailboats.
There will be three fleets including All-Dames boats, Dame at the Helm, and Dame as Crew (any capacity from sail trimmer to drink mixologist).
Scoring: The low-point scoring system described in Appendix A of the RRS will apply, except that there will be no throw outs. One race will constitute a regatta.
Fees for Party Passes - No separate registration fee. Either pay online or pay at the door:
Before April 27th: $20 for adults, $10 for children twelve and under
On or After April 27th: $30 for adults, $20 for children 12 and under
