Learn to Sail 2022-Class Group II

Welcome to WCSC's Adult Learn to Sail class!

Before the class we ask that you take the US Sailing "Basic Keelboat Online." That allows us to spend more time on the water and less time in lecture. The cost is $50 and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. There is a quiz at the end to test your knowledge but a passing score is not required.

The book we are using is "Learn Sailing Right- Beginner," and we will mail you a copy.

Friday evening September 16 we will have an evening lecture from 7pm - 9pm.
We will meet at the WCSC Clubhouse.
The address is 5200 West Wind Way, Anderson,  SC  29626

In the Friday lecture we will be covering the following information in your book: Chap 1: Preparing for Sailing, Chapter 2:  Know Your boat, Chap 3: Looking around and describing directions, Chap 4: Wind and Water, Chap 5: Points of sail, Chap 6: Steering, Chap 14:
