Make plans now to attend the latest edition of The Dam Distance Race!

The race will be held on March 28, 2026. As in the last several years, sailing dinghies will be eligible to compete. Traditionally, this race has brought the very casual racers and the non-racers together for a semi-structured racing experience, not as loose as individual day sailing, but not so formal as Keelboat or Centerboard Fleet racing.

This will be run in the popular “pursuit start” format, and we will race as far towards the dam as the day’s conditions allow.

By Popular demand, we are adding a "Dam Distance Romp". Rompers will be assigned a start time amongst the racers and cruiser-racers, but the only requirement will be to sail down to the farthest mark and come back. (no penalties/no prizes, but fun sailing along other boats and party afterward.) Just Register and join the fun.

After the race, the club will provide a grilled chicken dinner (prepared by Ronnie Ashmore) where the first three finishers in each division will be recognized and receive prizes. You provide your own beverages (adult and otherwise).

Registration is now open (scroll down below photographs to access the "register here" button) and will close at midnight on 25 March. The Dam Distance Race folder contains all the documents that further describe the event.
