2026 Hospice Regatta - Wow!

John Kreidler | Published on 10/12/2026

We had a very successful weekend as the 2026 WCSC Hospice Regatta had great food, great racing and raised $177,000. Wow! We raised $152k and had a $25k anonymous donation to raise $177k! Unbelievable results.

A big thanks to the WCSC membership for the hard work and dedication to putting on a great Regatta and helping us raise and EXCEED the $150k goal we had.

Despite Hurricane Isaias cancelling racing on Saturday, we had great racing on Sunday in 10-20 knots. Fleet winners were David Rink (Flying Scot), Tim Hochuli (One Design), David Strickland (Distance Green), Harry Morse (Distance Red) and Justin Hull (Distance Yellow). Complete results here.

The golf car was won by Keat Pruzynski. Congrats to Keat!

Sailing for Others raised $70k, a record amount. The top individual fundraiser was Ronnie Ashmore and the team winner was Women on the Water. Membership dues winner was Susan Hochuli (1 year), McCall Ginsberg (6 months) and Ron Sanga (3 months). Great job all for being a big reason why we made the goal.

A huge thank you to the entire WCSC membership who helped put on a great regatta. Special recognition and thanks to Jeremy Marsh, Tweetie Bowman, Charlie and Sandra Lord, Pete Skocki, Terhune Sudderth, Dacia and Keith Schrecengost, Maria Bolan, Teresa Ashmore, Sierra Ashmore, Kayla Robbs, Bruce Busbey, Lisa and Dennis Baker, Anna Kay and Derek Lord, Mark Miller, Jim Snowden, Ron Sanga and the Hospice support team of Kimberly Spears, Margaret Towne and Ashla Shingler. There our countless others that helped out with event setup, post event clean up, race committee and other event support roles. We thank you!
