We are still in need of volunteers in several areas for our 8^th Annual WCSC Parade of Lights for the benefit of and for collecting canned goods for The Good Neighbor Cupboard food pantry! The parade will take place Friday night, December 2^nd and again on Saturday night, December 3^rd.  Help is Needed to bring new and unwrapped toys and can goods to the WCSC clubhouse anytime between now and Wednesday, December 7th.

 Are you going to Light ‘em Up?  We Need for you to let us know by registering for:
Friday Dec 2nd and/or Saturday Dec 3rd.

• Friday Night December 2nd Volunteers Needed:

  • We need several volunteers to setup and man the Toys for Tots gift collection and can goods collection booth/table over at Green Pond Landing.  This would be from about 5:30PM till the Parade is over around 8:00PM.

   

  • We need a couple of volunteers each night to drive the Whaler which will be designated as a Safety Boat accompanying us around the parade route.  We need one qualified operator and one helper for each night.  You will be escorting the parade from the perimeter to lend aid if someone breaks down or runs aground.  The current planned parade route will begin from in front of the sailing club entrance up to and by Green Pond Landing making a big loop to go back by Green Pond Landing for a second pass and then proceed up to the eastern end of the double bridges turning and heading west toward Portman Marina.  We will probably go through the marina and out the west side then back to the WCSC.

   

  • We need for someone to keep the fire going in the clubhouse while we are out on the parade route on Friday night and to place and pickup or arrange delivery for the group pizza order as we are returning to the harbor.
