Cruising Fleet News

On July 24th the cruising fleet ventured down to Hartwell Marina about 10 miles south of the club. We had perfect weather, although wind would have been nice. In all about 12 people made the trip. We had nice docks to tie up to so no one had to anchor. Although I made reservations, the kitchen crew apparently didn’t get the memo. The hostess informed us that it was a three hour wait for a burger. So, being good cruisers we fell back on plan B.  We headed back up the lake to S 10 and turned east towards the Locals Pub and Grill. We rafted up in the cove and took the dinghy in to the dock. Even without any wind, and falling back on plan B,  everyone had a great time eating, boating and enjoying each other’s company.

Thanks to those who joined us and don’t worry, we will do it again soon, so plan on coming next time.
