Work Day #3
Work Day #3 - This workday will consist of projects on the grounds, in the clubhouse & the garage. GROUNDS; we're hoping to get the stray floats that have washed up on our shores, loaded up on a trailer so they can be hauled off to the landfill. We’ll need someone that is good with a chainsaw to cut up a large branch in Camper Village & cut down the Privet by the clubhouse parking lot. There are some potholes in the road that need to be filled & some of the asphalt near the main ramp that also needs to be repaired. The sign on the point can use a fresh coat of paint. It’s a good time of the year to treat all the fire ant mounds too. Some of our picnic tables need repairing, and there’s always the good old task of underbrushing and & pruning. In the Clubhouse, Lisa Baker will be heading up an effort to organize the conference room & other areas in the clubhouse. We need one or two people to empty the pantry, thoroughly clean & organize it, when the contents are put back in. The front door threshold needs to be secured & the small piece of carpet there needs to be cleaned. The bulletin board by the men’s room needs to be refastened to the wall before it takes flight. Lastly, the trim on the garage needs to be painted. We don’t have many ladders. If a member or two can bring ladders, we could use it/them. Otherwise, the club has all the necessary tools. We’ll start at 8am. There will be water, coffee & possibly doughnuts. If anyone has any questions or input, Rear Commodore, Paul Jordan can be reached at 828.551.6741.
