Starting time will be 8am. We will be providing some waters.
In addition to needing a crew to help out our new Youth Sailing Program by cleaning and rigging all of the dinghies, we’ll need a crew to help with organization of the garage. This work day will primarily be about cleaning up the grounds and clubhouse for the Commissioning Day ceremony.
Tasks to be included are as follows:
• Furniture moving
• general cleaning
• sweeping & mopping
• some window cleaning
Also, we could use someone with a power/pressure washer to clean the clubhouse deck.
Outside tasks to include:
• typical under-brushing
• cutting and picking up branches
• raking
• shoveling
• pruning
• fire ant control
Tools Needed: Gloves, loppers, hand saws, hard tooth and fan rakes, and a spreader would all be handy.
We need someone with some carpentry skills & tools to fix the woodshed roof, clubhouse sign, gutter on the mainland head, replace a spigot & install a hose caddy.
We have reserved a log splitter. We will need a small crew to run the log splitter. The logs then will need to be stacked as firewood in the wood shed, once the woodshed is repaired. Gloves are essential for this task.
It would also be ideal if we could get a volunteer that has a four-wheel drive truck and a trailer. We would like to be able to remove the floats that have washed ashore by the lower lot.
We have picnic tables and benches that need to be repaired and/or painted. And after all that, if we have enough people, we can straighten out the carport behind the garage to get the cooker under it.
